Pipeline Chemicals

Pipeline cleaners help to remove waxes, black powder, grease and solids from pipeline walls during pigging operations. Corrosion inhibitors and oxygen scavengers are required for hydrostatic testing applications and pipeline conservation.

Cleaners

PipeClean W

Biodegradable, anionic, environmentally friendly, water-soluble micellar dispersion

Biodegradable, anionic, environmentally friendly, water-soluble micellar dispersion for internally cleaning pipelines. Typical loading is 0.2-0.8 gallon/diameter (inches)/mile, with the water carrier fluid applied at 2.0-8.0 gallons/diameter (inches)/mile. Can be reused in successive cleaning runs, if not over-diluted or contaminated with excessive solids or oil. Leaves the pipe wall and solids water-wet to allow for more efficient removal from the pipeline.

PipeClean O

Low toxicity, anionic, oil-soluble cleaner

Low toxicity, anionic, oil-soluble cleaner for use in pipelines with heavy hydrocarbon and paraffin depos- its. Typical loading is 0.3-1.0 gallon/diameter (inches)/mile, with the carrier fluid applied at 2.0-8.0 gallons/diameter (inches)/mile. Can be diluted in either water or hydrocarbons and is usually followed by Alpha-Clean W for complete cleaning.

Max Dry

High performance, clear, concentrated ionic fluid

High performance, clear, concentrated ionic fluid used to remove excess water from pipelines and flow- lines during cleaning operations, commissioning, decommissioning, & hydrostatic testing. Also acts as a thermodynamic gas hydrate inhibitor. Can be used as a standalone product or used in conjunction with products for cleaning or bacterial or corrosion control.

Hydrotest

CI 3207

synergistic blend of organic acid-amine salts

23-27% active synergistic blend of organic acid-amine salts used as a base for formulating water-soluble corrosion inhibitors for hydrostatic testing in pipelines. Can be used in hydrogen sulfide-containing waters to reduce fouling. Can be used in concentrated form or diluted with water or alcohols prior to use. Normal concentration ranges from 100-200 ppm.

Corrosion Inhibitors

CI 1

alkyl pyridine benzyl quaternary ammonium chloride

75-80% active alkyl pyridine benzyl quaternary ammonium chloride used to formulate corrosion preventives for applications in oil well drilling, completion, production, and water flood systems. Highly cationic amine compound that is normally diluted or formulated with other additives, such as nonionic surfactants & alcohols, for application purposes.

CI 3444

alkyl pyridine benzyl quaternary ammonium chloride, nonionic and anionic surfactants

77-83% active blend of alkyl pyridine benzyl quaternary ammonium chloride, nonionic and anionic surfactants used to formulate corrosion inhibitors for use in oil and gas producing wells, gathering systems, and water flooding systems. Highly cationic amine compound that can be diluted with alcohols, glycols, or water/alcohol blends.

CI 152

alkyl dimethyl benzyl quaternary ammonium chloride

78-82% active alkyl dimethyl benzyl quaternary ammonium chloride used as a corrosion preventative for water systems or downhole producing oil wells. The alkyl groups are C-12, C-14, & C-16. Effective against sulfide corrosion. Often blended with demulsifiers to “wet” sulfides and other solids that cause emulsion problems.

CI 2095

cocoamine diquaternary ammonium chloride

68-72% active cocoamine diquaternary ammonium chloride used to formulate corrosion preventives for applications in oil well drilling, completion, production, and water flood systems. Highly cationic amine compound that is normally diluted (50% by weight with water) or formulated with other additives for application purposes.

CI 2129

cocoamine quaternary ammonium chloride in an aqueous solution

83-87% active cocoamine quaternary ammonium chloride in an aqueous solution that is used as a surfactant to improve water injectivity in water floods. Can be used as a corrosion preventative in water floods or in produced water handling systems.
